Lightning Bolt

Morning, it’s another pure grey morning
Don’t know what the day is holding
When I get uptight
And I walk right into the path of a lightning bolt

Sirens of an ambulance comes howling
Right through the centre of town and
No one blinks an eye
And I look up to the sky in the path of a lighting bolt

Met her as the angels parted for her
But she only brought me touture
But that’s what happens
When it’s you who’s standing in the path of a ligthning bolt

Everyone I see just wants to walk with gritted teeth
But I just stand by and I wait my time
They say you gotta tow the line they want the water not the wine
But when I see the signs I jump on that lightning bolt

Chances, people tell you not to take chances
When they tell you there aren’t any answers
And I was starting to agree
But I awoke suddenly in the path of a lightning bolt

Fortune, people talking all about fortune
Do you make it or does it just call you.
In the blinking of an eye
Just another passer-by in the path of a lightning bolt

Everyone I see just wants to walk with gritted teeth

It was silent, I was lying back gazing skyward
When the moment got shattered
I remembered what she said
And then she fled in the path of a lightning bolt

Relámpago

Mañana, es otra mera mañana gris
No sé que me espera el día
Cuando me pongo nervioso
Y camino directo en la trayectoria del relámpago

Las sirenas de una ambulancia vienen aullando
Por el centro de la ciudad y
Nadie pestañea
Y miro hacia el cielo siguiendo la trayectoria del relámpago

La conocí como si los ángeles estuvieran de su lado
Pero ella solo me trajo torturas
Pero eso es lo que pasa
Cuando eres tu quien esta parado en la trayectoria del relámpago

Todos los que veo quieren caminar con los dientes apretados
Pero yo me mantengo al margen y espero mi momento
Ellos dicen que tienes que acatar, que quieren el agua no el vino
Pero cuando veo las señales yo salto sobre ese relámpago

Arriesgarse, la gente dice que no hay que arriesgarse
Cuando te dicen que no hay ninguna respuesta
Y ya estaba empezando a estar de acuerdo
Pero de pronto desperté en la trayectoria del relámpago

Suerte, la gente hablando todo sobre suerte
¿La consigues, o te llega sola?
En un abrir y cerrar de ojos.
Otro simple peatón en la trayectoria del relámpago

Todos los que veo quieren caminar con los dientes apretados
Pero yo me detengo y espero mi momento

Estaba silencioso, yo estaba tirado mirando al cielo
