The Struggle

Why’s it so hard to trust you
But if this is right where i need to be
Come have your way in me
If your leadership is still so perfect
Then why am i struggling
You say dependence is everything

So here i lay me down as a seed left in the ground
That beauty may spring forth in the fullness of this open door
I’ll let you wound me though it hurts
But the healing will come as sure
Got to believe that you want more that what i've dreamt
Up in my mind before

You've awakened this only to let me die
You say that it’s in this death that i find real life
And lord only knows i want to be faithful
And the sifting’s increasing, but you said that you’re praying for me

I knew that it wouldn't be easy
The death of my flesh is the rending of my heart
