Endless Weekend

I was sinking
So I found a place
Where I could clear my head
But got lost instead
Feel so foolish
In avoiding things I know I should bestow
Still my heart neglects to show

So having left a couple things unsaid
I began a remotion
Now I can't keep it out of my head
With all this flooded emotion

Endless weekend
It's the getaway from the
Gloominess we know
You'll find it when you're low
Sheer intrusion
Why do people try to
Tell you how to live?
Would you follow if they did?
I ignore advice and tend to disconnect
When all I need is room to breathe
And a little bit of earned respect
My point is that we don't have to agree
Well fine I'll take the passive route
Knowing you will never see
