Lofty Rhetoric

Live as if you'd never talked to yourself
Kept yourself at arm's length
We have been given no assurance
As concerns our future fate

We know how to handle misfortune
We know how to take bad news
We can minimize injustice
Lighten up God's absence

We are repelling by blind heredity

We believe in the fear of man
In his own infinity

A few clods of dirt and our senseless life
Will break free from circumstance
Important matters are reserved for us
