Humility

Always longing for some peace
To calm this restlessness
Is it where I am in life?
Or where I am in this world?
And as I watch the clock turn slowly

It's hard to find reason to push any longer
But I'll emerge this test of patience, and I'll be stronger

Not taking what I have for granted
I feel like I'm searching for something
That cannot be found
My expectations are too high
Trying to prove to everyone
That I can do this all on my own
But I am nothing to be proud of

I have been crucified with Christ
For its no longer I, but Christ in me
For you must humble yourself in the sight of the lord
Only then shall he lift you up, this is what I have found

A God of love
A God of hope
A God of peace and understanding
A God that heals
Who is set apart
So lift your hands, surrender your hearts

As this city falls in the glory of Your name
Our hearts take shape as you take Your place
And these city walls cannot contain your grace
This world will change when you take Your place
This is the last chance to take what's mine
