How many vacant spaces
Can  be filled with empty words
What  amount of silence
Can be stacked to form
In Homeostasis
Static  complacency

A  deafening wall of static
Humming din of delusion
The  wait will be long
Until time becomes short again
We bide and bind it
Only ever on the brink

Dragging  limp and lifeless shadows
Just to near the glare of noon
Deeply lost in the shallow end
Blind and barren chasing a sight
Of homeostasis
