Hollows Eve Masquerade

Put down my backpack and take off my shoes
The journey was good but your knees are still bruised
Oyster pearl eyes and cobwebs for hair
You're a shadow with nobody there

And the harvest Moon, shimmering, melted in two
And poured silver rain into the stream
Where I crossed on the bridge made of stars gently smiling

The lamplights they flicker and twinkle with glee
Pink bunting swayed in the sigh of the sea
You found your way lit by small paper lanterns

Through the market place, buzzing with spectres and ghouls
Sipping sweet apple wine making merry
You remembered my face, gave an empty embrace
While we lingered away in a dream

Spinning away
