Going Out
Growing inside, taking me higher
Places that I've never been before
I'm driving in my car, leaving it all behind
My mom's sad silhouette, my set of keys
Tonight I won't be back inside
I'm stepping out the comfort line
Don't mind the signs
I'll keep on roaming on and on
Chasing down a star, but maybe I'll never find her
My life has been the prize I'm fighting for
I jumped and closed my eyes, it feels like suicide now
My lungs can't hold the weight, it's hard to breathe
I tried but couldn't step aside
It's like it's built within my mind
Don't mind the signs
I'll keep on roaming on and on
And when it seems I've gone too far
I'll hit the gas, I'm going to fly
A thousand miles
I'll learn to live there on my own
And when you're going out
It's when you feel alive
It's time to learn to fly
And when you see it so bright
It's when you know you're right
And this will help you fly
Now we're wasting time (I'm so tired)
When you cross my mind (I die)
When you're here, it's when I'm gone
When we found ourselves alone?
Tonight I won't be back inside
I'm stepping out the comfort line
Don't mind the signs
I'll keep on roaming on and on
And when it seems I've gone too far
I'll hit the gas, I'm going to fly
A thousand miles
I'll learn to live there on my own
And when you're going out
It's when you feel alive
It's time to learn to fly
