A spaceman came travelling on his ship from afar,
'twas light years of time since his mission did start,
And over a village he halted his craft,
And it hung in the sky like a star, just like a star...

He followed a light and came down to a shed,
Where a mother and a child were lying there on a bed,
A bright light of silver shone round his head,
And he had the face of an angle, and they were afraid...

Then the stranger spoke, he said 'Do not fear,
I come from a planet a long way from here,
And I bring a message for mankind to hear',
And suddenly the sweetest music filled the air...

Peace and goodwill to all men,
and love for the child...

This lovely music went trembling through the ground,
And many were wakened on hearing that sound,
And travellers on the road, the village they found,
By the light of that ship in the sky,
which shone all round...

And just before dawn at the paling of the sky,
The stranger returned and said 'Now I must fly,
When two thousand years of your time has gone by,

Un Hombre Espacial Vino Viajando

Un hombre espacial vino viajando en su nave desde lejos,
dos mil años luz desde que comenzó su misión,
y sobre el poblado el detuvo su nave,
y brilló en el cielo como una estrella, sí como una estrella...

Siguió una luz y llegó a un establo,
donde una madre y su niño estaban tendidos en una cama,
una brillante luz plateada brillaba alrededor de su cabeza,
y el tenía la cara de un ángel, y ellos temieron...

Entonces el forastero habló, y dijo “no teman,
vengo de un planeta muy lejos de aquí,
y traigo un mensaje para que escuche la humanidad”,
y de repente la más dulce música llenó el aire...

Y esta decía la, la....
paz y buena fortuna para todos los hombres,
y amor para los niños...

Esa música fue temblando a través de la tierra,
y muchos despertaron oyendo aquel sonido,
y viajeros en el camino encontraron la villa,
por la luz de aquella nave en el cielo,
que iluminaba todo el derredor...

Y justo antes del amanecer, en la palidez del cielo,
el forastero regresó y dijo “ahora debo volar,
cuando dos mil años de vuestro tiempo haya pasado,
esa canción comenzará nuevamente,
con el llanto de un bebé...”

Y ella decía la la ...
