Once again I get stopped short of being happy to my full potential
No one understands how being with my girlfriend is essential
And my mom complains that I stay out late, I'm never home
And if I am, then you can find me on the telephone with her

But my friends complain I'm always with her, I neglect them
But I want them to know, if they were me then I'd respect them because
I've fallen in love and nobody cares, except for she and I
I know everyone's thinking of themselves, so who cares if I try?

And my band thinks that I have "ditched them for a girl"
