Seven PM I left Norfolk Virginia a little night trip down to Alabam
Early next morning I was loaded and ready hauling rolled steel out of Birmingham
Got my eyes on the road my back to the load and my hands on the wheel
I'm a long run rider I'm a concrete cowboy rolling down the road on rubber and steel

Dropped off a load out in San Diego layed up with a girl who lives by the bay
Called my dispatcher and I'm hauling nitro but it's alright I'm gonna get double pay

Drove to Duluth by way of Kansas City layed up with Loretta out in Omaha
I'm making a midnight run to Miami hauling nine pound hammers out of Sagina
