Sea of stars spread across the infinite depths of space
I look up at the sky of a night without a face
I see a dead straight crack bisecting the sky
and a flapping apparition that I can't identify

Hairless naked bodies of the dead are packed ten-deep
In a boat that's sinking while the captain is asleep
The wind and rain now begin to drive down in dark sheets
Heavier, it comes down with a great ferocity

Thin elastic shroud of solidified gelatin
Relentlessly patient beautiful leviathan
A fixed black hole blurring, warping comprehension
Bleeding down the stairway, misdirecting malfunction

Battle-dressed security troops smashing down the door
Advertisements forming an unbroken corridor
Somewhere in the depths of this strange stone metropolis
He is engulfed in the hell of pitch black awfulness
