Checkerboard linoleum
Under my feet
Bent over the kitchen sink
Closing my eyes
This was a daydream
Of businessmen alike
A stable family life
TV dinners & a hot wife

Lived by a graveyard
Back in the sixteenth ward
We were having a good day
Our neighbors buried themselves in our front yard
They named their dog dixie
Flinched when she barked at me
